And here is the completed group of Spider Riders. Looking at these side-by-side with my first four Spider Riders, I feel like my painting skills have significantly improved — That’s a good feeling, and it’s nice to be able to compare to exactly where I was one year ago! These could be used with the previous 4 spider riders posted as a single unit, or the ten could be split into two units of 5 each. After the hiatus imposed by the Boneripper model, and the sub-standard job on the Daemonettes, I wanted to paint something a little different. I built this model a long time ago; as such, the actual build isn’t great and I never really cleaned off all of the mould lines. Regardless, I went ahead & did this one, with a little more experimentation. I used Krylon primer instead of Citadel (7$ / can vs. 20$ / can). And I don’t mind it! Here’s the full and completed unit of Daemonettes! Again – Not my best work or hardest effort. Really just getting to a tabletop standard (at best), so that they’re painted when I play minor 40k games with my work mates. I’m not terribly interested in 40k, but none of the folks who play are into Fantasy / Age of Sigmar. So at least they’ll be painted up for a skirmish or two.
