
Here’s another single-brush, early-hobby paint job. I initially had some old-school mini-painting book, and one of the old styles of doing “shadows” before washes were really popular was to prime the mini in black, and then paint… but not the WHOLE way into the seams, leaving the primer as the shadow. It’s a kind of comic-book outline-looking style when done well (and looks like junk when done poorly, like this one is). I didn’t do much in the way of layers, and there’s no washing, no highlights, no basing, no eyes… Woof, it was a rough time for my painting career.
