Here’s the next WizKids pre-primed Orc of the triple-set… Again, a quick slap-dash paint job to get them complete was the goal.

The WizKids Orcs come in a 2-pack. It was difficult to tell on this model whether the arm/shoulder pads were cloth, armor, or some combination… so I painted him as if it were cloth with metal strips to help stiffen and protect against direct blows… however, I could be way off. It’s much more obvious on this model how rusty my painting skills have gotten.

There’s lots of detail on which I could have gone deeper; there are lots of obvious mistakes & over-paints that I could have corrected… But the point was not perfection, just completion. And I got them there, at least!

It’s always nice to get models done after a long break. Probably the longest continuous break since I first started painting, so even a crappy paint job is better than not painting at all… and just getting some models done got the motivation motor running again!

Ugh, did I just use “motivation motor”? Yikes… no wonder this guy just turned to leave.

Anyway — that’s two of 3 Orcs in this set. Since there are two Orcs to a WizKids pre-primed miniature pack, the next one is your bog-standard Games Workshop Fantasy Orc grunt! Stay tuned!
