Note: Apologies to my Twitter fam, sorry for the upcoming duplicate posts, but here come the individual close-ups of the completed minis!

This is one of three miniatures I painted after re-setting up my paint station in the small office room in the basement that I lovingly call “The Dungeon” which holds (almost) all of my hobby faff… My D&D books, models, board games, painting stuff. At the end of December 2018 I made a concerted effort to get the room actually somewhat set up and organized. Now that it’s set up, I got a chance to paint!

I had this guy and two other Orcs “started” (that is to say, I had the blue cloth painted) at some point WAY back in 2017 before the baby was born… and then she was born and things got a bit busy, the room turned into a storage area, and painting stopped almost entirely… Until now!

Ignore the bases! I didn’t put them on a holder of any kind, I didn’t do any basing, flocking… I didn’t clean up any mould lines or even re-wash the models after them having sat out on a desk for over a year. Their purpose was solely to get a couple models “finished” and start some momentum. And to get back into painting — my skills are very rusty! These are NOWHERE near as good as some of the models at “Peak Painting”.

I do like how the skulls & chainmail on this one came out…

And so we have my “triumphant return” to painting miniatures! I posted a quick picture of the three orcs from this set on Twitter, but over the next few days I’ll be posting close-ups in 360 of each of them individually, so stay tuned… I also have lots of plans for lots more painting this year!
