While I really like the WizKids models, generally… I’m finding that for the human/demi-human figures the features – particularly the facial features – are not very well defined, or they’re obscured from the primer. For example, this Elf (or Half-Elf) figther has almost no nose, the mouth was basically just a cut in the plastic and was obscured, and the eyes were all but flat. I’m running into this for most of the human-like models. So, once I finish the ones I have, I will probably look for another brand of miniature for my Human/Demi-Human figures. But their monsters are GREAT, and the fact that they have the licensing for the “actual” D&D monsters is a good bonus!

Her eyes did come out a bit wonky, but not SO bad. And since I’ve just re-started painting, I’m okay with it for now. I’m hoping this will get better as I continue painting consistently again. At any rate, here’s another Female hero! I’m glad to see better Female representation in the heroic models — it used to be much harder to find models that weren’t wearing ridiculous (and ineffective) armor, or nothing at all.
